A room begins with the life it will hold. My work begins there, with attention to how we inhabit a place and what allows us to feel at home. I design interiors through a language of warm materials, proportions, and restraint. Wood, stone, cloth, and metal carry histories; the hand of the maker remains part of their presence. Drawing on ancient forms and modern architecture, I seek spaces where strength and softness can belong together. There is a kind of generosity in leaving room. A quiet wall receives the changing light. An object gains meaning through use. A surface deepens with age. These encounters shape our experience as surely as the architecture around them. From the arrangement of a room to the curve of a chair, each decision serves the rhythms of living. I want to make homes that invite attention without demanding it, that offer beauty without ceremony, and that grow more intimate with time: places where the ordinary acts of living become a way of belonging.

Dair | dɛər
Dair, the ancient Irish word for oak, speaks to both where we come from and what we hope to leave behind. Rooted in my Irish ancestry, the name is an acknowledgment that creation does not begin with us, but grows from all that came before. The oak, long a symbol of strength and endurance, offers a quiet reminder that to grow is not to abandon one's roots, but to deepen them. It is in this spirit that we approach design, with reverence for material, memory, and the passage of time. DAIR is both an honoring of origins and an intention to create things that may, in their own way, outlast us.
